"MANAGING TRUSTEE MESSAGE"

In my view the Gurukulam is a phenomenon. As a lawyer it had never been a part of my foremost alternative profession, neither the first nor the second. In the eleventh year, since the inception of Gurukulam, I witness its growth and the recognition it has accredited amid the challenging circumstances are really astonishing.

Today, as I walk down the memory lane I recollect all those incidents that were instrumental behind the initiation of this institution, are worthy of high regard. Having come from a moderate middle class agriculturalist family I had yearned for an Anglo Indian English medium education.

Although, it did not affect my formal education and my professional course, it had always has been a lingering thought on the differentiation in the social system particularly, education.

Dreaming of any implementation that could bring the equanimity at least in the field of education had been always in my mind.

Driving my children to the school from the village by my own conveyance was congenial. But the real revelation occurred when the astounding question came from my daughter that why not to have an educational institution in the rural area for the children of poor farmers, and the people with the moderate revenue? Since then, I became determined to start an institution with all the amenities, which the schools in the town provide.

“If the mountain does not come to Mohammed, Mohammed must go to the mountain.

If the poor cannot come to education, education must reach them at the plough, in the factory, everywhere”.

Swami Vivekananda

These words of Swami Vivekananada created a great impact in my mind.

With these objectives I decided to organize an ideological school which would cater to all the needs of the modern environment, and also endeavor to bring back our ancient system of education. I felt that it is the prime and most prominent responsibility of an institution, to preserve and formulate the rich age old art, culture and traditional values of the country which is much more important than any other socio – status, and educational institutions are the places where we can implant them in the tender minds.

We give a balanced education to bring out the best in every field of their interest. We are endeavoring in every possible way to make our children the finest global citizens.

We take this opportunity to convey our gratitude to those noble hearts who stood by us in bringing this institution to these heights.
